Malayali’s favorite Kani Kusumi is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Kani will be seen in the film ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ produced by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal. Kani, who has won recognitions like Kerala State Award and Filmfare Award, is very promising.

The film, directed by Suchi Thalati, has started shooting in Uttarakhand. ‘Since it is my first film, I am watching every process with great eagerness. I am very confident about the script because many people have already praised it. I hope to fulfill everyone’s expectations’ says Suchi.

The film tells the story of Mira, a sixteen-year-old girl who lives in a boarding school based in the Himalayas. Pushing Button Studio, headed by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, owns the remake rights of the 2003 English film ‘Girls Will Be Girls’.

Kani came to the world of cinema with the film ‘Annyar’ which was released in 2003. Later, Kani acted in many films like ‘Kerala Cafe’, ‘Shikar’, ‘Cocktail’. Kani also won the Kerala State Award for Best Actress for the film ‘Biryani’.
