“November 2, I take my top off again”: the underside of the return of 1980s advertising

The poster brought back memories of 40 years ago. Since the end of October, we have seen posters springing up in Paris with the mention “November 2, I still take off the top”, on which a woman in a two-piece swimsuit poses. A reference to the famous advertisement of Avenir, “the display that keeps its promises”, in 1981, where a campaign showed a model in a swimsuit, then topless two days later, before posing completely naked, from behind.
