Arcelor invests 25 million in nuclear technology with a view to decarbonisation

ArcelorMittal has invested 25 million dollars (25.22 million euros) through its XCarb innovation fund in TerraPower, the nuclear technology company founded by Bill Gates in 2008.

ArcelorMittal created the XCarb fund in March 2021 to complement the technology development program for the decarbonization of the steel production process that the multinational is carrying out through investments in innovative technologies that are in an initial phase of development.
