A few months ago, there were concerns raised from many quarters that Malayalam films would not reach the theaters while big budget films from other languages were raking in money from Kerala. But that worry is gone now. The reason for this is that many films that have filled the theaters have come from Malayalam continuously. Now the continuation of that line is Jay Jay Jay Jay Hai directed by Vipin Das starring Basil Joseph and Darshan Rajendran.
The film has received good word-of-mouth publicity since its release and has increased its theater count significantly in its second week. The film was released in 150 theaters in Kerala, but the number of theaters has increased to 180 in its second week. The film is doing well in GCC as well. The film will be released in many more countries this weekend and next week. Trade analysts estimate that it will create a significant boost in collections as it has already received reviews as the best film.
