Director Jeethu Joseph said that Mohanlal commits a film by giving importance to the story. Jeethu Joseph said that Mohanlal gives dates not only to hit directors but also to directors of failed films and he gives importance to the story. Jeethu was speaking in an interview given to Kaumudi Movies. The director also clarified that if the story of the film is good, the box office collection is not a problem for him.
‘Mohanlal is not a person who gives dates only to directors of hit films. He also gives dates to directors of failed films. Mohanlal will do it if he thinks the movie is good even if it doesn’t collect big at the box office. “He has worked not only with me but also with many directors,” said Jeethu.
Drishyam, the biggest hit of Malayalam cinema, is the first film released by Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph collaboration. After the movie became a hit, it was dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. Later the second part of the movie Drishyam 2 was released. Jeethu-Mohanlal team reunited with ‘Twelfth Money’. ‘Ram’ is the new film of both of them together. The shooting of the film is in progress.
