Islamabad: Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan, who was undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound, left the hospital yesterday. Former information minister Fawad Chaudhary told AFP that Imran Khan had been discharged. Some local media got the pictures of Imran leaving the Lahore clinic in a wheelchair.
Khan was shot in the eastern city of Wazirabad on Thursday. One person was arrested in the attack.
Khan said that there were two assailants. Speaking to reporters at the hospital on Friday, Imran Khan had alleged that Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and a senior intelligence officer were behind the conspiracy.
Both the government and the army have dismissed the allegations, saying Imran’s allegations are fabrications and will sue Khan for defamation.
