Continues to run: 100:114 to Cleveland over the Lakers

by time news

The Lakers’ disappointing season continues: tonight (Sunday), the luxury club from the City of Angels ended another game with a loss – this time against the Cleveland Cavaliers, 114:100. The Lakers of LeBron and Davis have deteriorated to a record of 7:2 since the beginning of the season, and are in second to last place in the Western Conference (only the Houston Rockets, with a record of 9:1, are weaker than them).

For LeBron, this is only his second loss against the team he grew up in (17 times out of 19 he beat the Cubs), and tonight he finished with 27 points and 7 rebounds which were not enough for the Lakers to get out of the maze they got into. The game was tight throughout most of the first half, but in the second half the Cubs won 36:56 and actually decided the story in their favor.

Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points for the guest, Darius Garland added 24, and Jarrett Allen (who recorded a successful second half) finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The Cubs already have their eighth victory in a row (1:8 since the beginning of the season), and two only to the Milwaukee Bucks – who lead the Eastern Conference with 0:9.
