Pongyang: North Korea has announced that it will respond with military action to the joint military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea. North Korea’s warning comes days after the two countries ended their largest ever joint air force exercise. The recent ballistic missile tests are a response to this, the statement said.

As long as the enemy’s provocative military maneuvers continue, they will be dealt with accordingly. Hundreds of US-South Korean fighter jets, including B-1B heavy bombers, participated in the exercise. This is the first time since December 2017 that the B-1B fighter jet has arrived on the Korean Peninsula.

South Korea’s military chief said any provocation by North Korea would be dealt with forcefully. Meanwhile, referring to recent events, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said that North Korea is carrying out a regional invasion.
