Visa Duration in UAE: Change in Penalty Amount | Pravasi | Deshabhimani

by time news

Dubai: In the UAE, a fine of 50 dirhams must be paid every day after the expiry of the visitor visa. The fine for expired visitor visas has been reduced from 100 dirhams to 50 dirhams. But the fine for residence visas has been increased from Dh25 to Dh50. With the unification of the overstay rate, fines for visitor visas have decreased and those for residents have increased.

This change in the overstay penalty is a continuation of the changes announced in UAE visas from the third of last month. Days spent in updating information will also count as overstay. If the correct documents are not submitted within 30 days of starting the visa renewal application process, the application will be cancelled. If you submit wrong documents more than three times, your application will be canceled and you will have to apply again. Fine can be paid through online, smart app and happiness center.

As per the directive implemented last month, residency visa holders will be allowed a grace period of up to six months after the expiry date. You must leave the country or get a new visa within this time.
