On Sunday, when the World Cup final will be held, the incident of Bengaluru police appealing to the public not to drive under the influence of alcohol is going viral on social media.
The T20 World Cup series is underway in Australia. The top 4 teams in Group 1 and 2 have entered the semi-finals. New Zealand and Pakistan will meet in the first semi-final match on the 9th. The 2nd semi-final match between India and England will be held on the 10th. The winning teams will face each other in the final on the 13th.

Special arrangements are being made in star hotels, bars and entertainment venues to watch the World Cup Final match on the big screen. In this case, Bengaluru Police on their official Twitter page said, “The World Cup Final will be held next Sunday. We repeat. It comes next Sunday. So today, next Sunday or any other day, don’t drink and drive.”

To this, a netizen on Twitter said, “Don’t worry sir. Whether drunk or not, Bengaluru road users are not safe. If you are concerned about our safety, tell the government to plug the potholes on the road first before collecting the fine.”

Many others complained that they were being stopped unnecessarily by the police even though the Bengaluru police commissioner had said that vehicles should not be stopped if there was no violation.

Another netizen said, ‘One thing I noticed everywhere. Traffic cops take photos of almost every car and bike that stops in places where there is no no parking sign. Is there any order for it? He questioned.
