In 1985, Roel De Cuyper (68) became the first lay director of the Sint-Jozef Sleidings Psychiatric Hospital. Since the merger with the neighboring women’s clinic Mater Dei and later Sint-Jan de Deo in Ghent, he has headed the Psychiatric Center Gent-Sleidinge. Until now, because De Cuyper is saying goodbye. He is succeeded by Jochen Van den Steen (41).
