State BJP leader K. Annamalai confirmed that the alliance in Tamil Nadu will be led by the ADMK in the Lok Sabha polls.
Annamalai, who participated in a program held on Monday at the BJP headquarters in Chennai, was questioned by reporters as to whether the party’s interim general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami had said that AIADMK is going to form a mega alliance. Annamalai replied:
AIADMK is the largest party in the National Democratic Alliance in Tamil Nadu. There is no mistake in Edappadi Palaniswami’s statement that AIADMK will form a mega alliance in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. There is no confusion in the NDA. He said that AIADMK and BJP are in the same alliance.
When asked by reporters whether the DMK had written a letter requesting the withdrawal of the Tamil Nadu Governor, he said, ‘DMK’s opinion that the Governor should be withdrawn is absurd. DMK should come out of anti-governor mentality. Annamalai said that since Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Tamil Nadu has been confirmed, he will be given a warm welcome on behalf of the BJP.
