Act fast on climate change – Rishi Sunak speech

Scientists are constantly warning that the world is facing the greatest danger ever as the ice caps in the Arctic and Antarctic continents are melting. As a result, the countries of the world are showing seriousness to deal with climate change and reduce its severity.

As part of that, the UN The Climate Change Action Plan was formulated in 1992 and became fully operational in 1994. The 198 countries that have signed the Framework have convened an annual Climate Change Conference since 1995 to discuss actions to address climate change.

Meanwhile, UN The 27th Conference of the Climate Change Program started yesterday in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

More than 50 world leaders are coming to this conference which will be held for 2 weeks till 18th. More than 100 world leaders will participate and share their recommendations and initiatives to tackle climate change. World leaders have been gathering in Egypt since yesterday.

In this case, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who participated in yesterday’s conference, said that it is time to act quickly on climate change. He also gave the country’s commitment of £11.6 billion to the Climate Fund.
