CHENNAI: The general public has been shocked as the higher officials of AAV have ordered that ‘even if they have Aadhaar card, they should not issue a monthly BAL card’.
Every day, 13 lakh liters of milk was sold in Chennai and 13 lakh liters of milk in other districts through Aavin’s company. When the DMK took over the government, the price of milk was reduced by three rupees per litre. As a result, the sale of Aa’s milk increased dramatically.
14.5 lakh liters were sold in Chennai and 30 lakh liters including districts. In this case, the price of Aa’s orange and red milk packets has been increased. Aa’s orange milk packet of 500 ml has been increased from Rs 24 to Rs 30 and the red packet has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 34.
At the same time, the price of orange milk offered to monthly cardholders has not been hiked. A 500ml packet of orange milk is being sold at Rs 23 as usual. For monthly milk card holders, a liter packet of orange milk is available at Rs 46, saving Rs 14. As a result, the general public has started making efforts to buy Aa’s monthly milk card.
To purchase Aavin milk card, copies of Aadhaar, ration card should be submitted to the concerned balagams and zonal Aavin offices. Also have to pay the fee for 30 days. Milk is billed from the 15th of each month to the 15th of the following month. For every Aadhaar card, three milk cards will be issued. One and a half liters of milk can be purchased through one card.
At present, the top officials of the sales division of Aain have ordered that ‘even if you have an Aadhaar card, do not issue new milk cards’. Due to this, those who go to the sub-districts and zonal offices to ask for a new milk card are turned away.
Already, people who have Paul cards are being treated harshly. It has been announced that ‘milk will be provided after the 15th only if the Aadhaar and ration card details are submitted again along with the monthly payment’. The general public is shocked by the company’s actions.
Private milk price hike? A’s management trust
Aavin’s orange milk packet sales have declined due to price hike. At the same time, as the orange milk packet has increased by 12 rupees per liter, the public has started buying green milk packet which is sold at 22 rupees, and blue milk packet which is sold at 20 rupees. It has been reported that the price of private milk will be increased soon after the Aavin company raised the price of milk. Thus, even if the price increases, the demand for A’s orange milk packet will increase soon. Ava’s officials are hopeful that its sales will also return to normal.
