In the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, the officials of the Hindu Religious Charitable Department who are conducting an investigation have been told that the Dikshitars are defacing the documents related to the accounts of the temple. Also, CSS Hemasabesa Dikshitar, secretary of Nataraja Koil Dikshitars, had said that according to the Madras High Court’s ruling, neither the Hindu Charities Department nor its commissioner can ask for the accounts of a religious temple, and a contempt of court case will be filed if it is violated.

It is the duty of the Dikshitars to show the accounts when the incomes coming from the temples are properly accounted for. Inside the temple, they have built buildings according to their wishes. It is the duty of the Hindu Religious Endowments Department to inquire about such buildings. It is the duty of the Dikshi to cooperate throughout. If they file a defamation case, we are also ready to take the explanation to the court. In respect of the Hindu religious endowment department, there was no encroachment and abuse of power. And as far as that place is concerned, it is the government’s place,” he said.
