Caution, window: this is how a 17-year-old got involved in a robbery at a Louis Vuitton branch

by time news

A 17-year-old thief who robbed goods worth nearly 20 thousand dollars, disrupted his plans when he tried to escape from a store of a well-known luxury brand in Washington, USA.

The amusing incident was caught on the security cameras of the super brand Louis Vuitton branch in Billway, Washington, when a group of masked men broke into the store last August. In the footage, the suspect is seen grabbing leather bags from the shelves and heading straight for the exit. Shocked shoppers who were present in the store at the time, rushed to leave the place as soon as they saw the group pass the security guards. Apparently, since the robbers were armed, the security guard standing at the door of the store allowed them to escape with the goods in their hands.

At one point, the 17-year-old thief, who was also on his way out, quickly ran towards what he thought was an exit but turned out to be a clean, huge window, crashed into it violently and fell to the ground. The security guard took control of him while he was lying on the floor, and two of his friends who lingered on the street corner waiting for him – were caught.

The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital for treatment and later arrested by Bellevue police. A spokesperson for the station said: “Bellevue is a fairly wealthy suburb with luxury stores and access to the highway, which is why the area is becoming a target for thieves. The police department, in collaboration with these chains, conduct covert activities inside the stores to locate these types of thieves.”

The prosecution stated that the 17-year-old, whose name was not published because he is considered a minor, was part of an organized crime gang.
