Former People’s Liberation Front (PLF) MP Sunil Handunnetti has warned that Sri Lanka will be plunged into darkness from next month.
Although the government has promised that the fuel tanker will arrive in Sri Lanka on December 5, the government does not have enough dollars to pay for it.
The Sappugaskanda refinery was not closed due to repair work. It is closed because of the lack of dollars to pay for crude oil.
He also said that the fuel for the airport will be stopped and the air services will be stopped.
