The announcement was made by Zoom Group Product Manager Natasha Walia during the Zoomtopia 2022 event on Tuesday this week, along with a short video clip showing her working on a Tesla Model Y.

The Zoom will likely use a Tesla camera inside the cabin above the rearview mirror, and the Zoom doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s coming for all new Tesla models soon.

The announcement also lacked other details, including whether Zoom will only work on WiFi, or whether Tesla owners who currently pay for the Premium Connectivity add-on ($9.99 per month plus applicable taxes) will be able to make calls using a plan. their vehicle data.

The video demonstrating the feature also doesn’t show the car moving during the call, so zoom calls will likely be disabled unless the car is parked.
