Apart from messaging, you can also make audio calls, video calls, send photos, videos, and documents on WhatsApp. Various updates are coming in WhatsApp to attract customers. But through this popular app, some fraudsters are doing some fraudulent activities and stealing our money. They are doing many scams such as sending links, asking for bank details, making video calls on WhatsApp to unknown people and if a man picks up the call, the woman will appear naked next to the fraud gang in the video call, and if a woman picks up the call, the man will appear naked in it.

When we accept such video calls, the fraudsters record it and then blackmail us with the recording and extort a certain amount of money. In this case recently one victim of such scam lost Rs 1.57 lakhs to fraudsters after falling victim to WhatsApp nude video call scam. He then acted tactfully and immediately called the cybercrime helpline number 1930 and reported the incident. The police later intercepted two transactions worth Rs 90,140 and Rs 49,000 and returned the money to the victim.
Talking about the incident, the police have advised people to be alert to avoid falling into scams and not to accept video calls from strangers. Apart from that, the police are also advising people not to click on unknown links sent through messages and emails. They also advised that if caught in such scams, they can immediately call the Cybercrime Helpline number 1930 and file an FIR if necessary to get money back from the fraudsters.
