Half a year after the horrific attack in the city of Elad in which three people were murdered and others were injured by two terrorists who attacked them with axes. One of the seriously injured, 75-year-old Shimon Matuf, suffered a system collapse on Tuesday at the rehabilitation institution where he has been hospitalized for many months. The medical team performed successful resuscitation operations on him, after which he was transferred to the Ichilov Hospital, where he is hospitalized in the internal ward in a serious condition and his life is in danger.
Mafotof served as a security guard in the park, when he heard shouting outside, he rushed to the source of the noise and when he met face to face with these terrorists they attacked him with ax blows and seriously wounded him in the head.
In the terrible attack, Yonatan Habakkuk and Boaz Gol 14, residents of the city, as well as Oren ben Yiftah 14, a resident of Lod who drove the terrorists as a driver, without knowing their intentions and was actually the first victim they brutally murdered at the beginning of the massacre campaign, were murdered.

After over 60 hours of searching, the two terrorists were caught among the bushes in the Nachshonim forest between Elad and Rosh Ha’Ain, exhausted after being without water and food. The two Asad al-Rifa’i and Subhi Abu Shakir did not resist the arrest and immediately cooperated. A few weeks ago, an indictment was filed against them in court and soon they will be sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of three and the attempted murder of others, at the same time their house will be destroyed.
