Russian-born daughter of foreigners restored right to Russian passport

In the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a citizen of Moldova managed to confirm her right to live in Russia legally. Thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the foreign woman has her canceled Russian passport restored, the supervisory authority said today.

A resident of Norilsk, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, addressed to the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Dmitry Demeshin, who was on a working visit to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

As it turned out, the girl was born in Russia, although both parents are foreigners. In due time, she received a foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. However, the father never indicated her citizenship in his daughter’s birth certificate, and later the issued passport was declared illegal. Since 2017, the girl has lived in Russia with a canceled document.

After the intervention of the supervisory agency, the foreigner was reinstated in the rights to Russian citizenship. In a solemn atmosphere, the northerner took the oath and received a Russian passport.
