The Taliban are unable to stop the spread of IS in the Khorasan region. As a result, the ISIS has been able to create anarchy by constantly carrying out terrorist attacks in the country. At the same time, the UN envoy said the Taliban had failed as a government.

The Taliban’s political ideology is not in line with modern governance. Moreover, there is resource depletion and poverty in Afghanistan. The UN report also points out that differences in the Taliban are sharp on most issues. The UN envoy also warned that this could lead to IS taking root in Afghanistan.
