According to the new survey, surprisingly many similarities were found between younger and older citizens, as it turned out that 94% among a thousand respondents reported not living in the house of their dreams for the simple reason that they cannot pay for it. Moreover, the young people report that they will never be able to purchase it and some testify that purchasing property is a permissive life choice and not a necessity.

Moreover, a select majority in groups of young and old alike report that their dream home will cost no more than $499,000. The most preferred states for those subjects, if they were able to purchase a dream home, were California, Florida, New York, Washington and Colorado. The surprising information is that they would rather buy a house in the suburbs, than a house on the beach or in a more pastoral place.
