Why should the acting governor be removed: Vanathi Srinivasan- Dinamani

by time news

BJP National Women’s Team leader Vanathi Srinivasan has questioned the DMK MLA as to why they should remove the governor who is doing his duty.

In this regard, he issued a statement on Thursday:

A ruler may not be directly elected by the people. But, he is appointed on the recommendation of the central government taken by the people. Therefore, the governor is also the representative of the government elected by the people. The Governor of Tamil Nadu RN Ravi acts according to the powers laid down for the Governor in the Constitution of India.

The Governor has the right to express his opinions freely. Accordingly, he has been speaking in public events. If the DMK does not agree with that, it can give a democratic response of opinion to opinion. Apart from that, by demanding his removal from office, the DMK shows that it does not believe in democratic exchange of views.

The Governor is working keeping in mind the welfare of Tamil Nadu and the people of Tamil Nadu. Therefore, DMK government should work together with him for the welfare of Tamil Nadu instead of showing hatred towards the governor, he said.
