Riots have erupted in various cities, including the Sudanese capital Khartoum, Kasala, Tongola, Watmadani and Genina.

Khartoum:

Omar al-Bashir has been president of Sudan, an African country, since 1989. A military coup took place in 2019 and he was ousted from power.

The military then formed a new regime of political and religious leaders. Its prime minister came from Abdullah Kamdok.

The government dissolved the government on the 25th of last month. A state of emergency has been declared in the country. The Sudanese people strongly opposed this. They fought down the street. The army was involved in the crackdown. Many were shot dead.

Many key leaders were arrested. In this situation there has been a riot again for the last 2 days. Riots have erupted in various cities, including the capital Khartoum, Kasala, Tongola, Watmadani and Genina. The military is constantly engaged in operations to suppress them. Yet the civil struggle intensified uncontrollably.

Thus the army opened fire in various places to suppress the rioters. Of these, 18 died. More than 50 people were injured in the military offensive. Riots continue in many places.
