Manama: Action against three people in the incident of harassing a four-year-old girl with autism in Bahrain. The girl was beaten up in a center for special needs children in the country. Authorities have arrested three people, including the woman manager and two employees.

Officials from Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development discovered the abuse when they arrived at the center for a routine check-up. When the inspection team heard the child’s cry from outside and went inside, they saw that the child’s hands and feet were tied with tape and then forcefully fed. Both employees testified that they did so with the knowledge of the center’s manager.

Then the three people were arrested by the Ministry of Social Development officials. The prosecution said they will be produced before the High Criminal Court for trial. Meanwhile, the child’s father said that there were wounds on the child’s body earlier. The child was not ready to come to the center. When the staff was informed about this, they said that the child had injured himself while playing.
