Dammam: Saudi Aramco with extensive plan for carbon storage. Saudi Aramco has agreed to set up a facility to store and extract nine million tonnes of carbon per year. The agreement was signed with SLP and Lindo companies

Saudi Aramco’s new project is part of Saudi efforts to reduce carbon emissions and prevent global climate change. CEO Amin Nasser said Saudi Aramco has launched a massive project that aims to store and extract nine million tonnes of carbon by 2027. He also revealed that an agreement has been reached with global companies SLP and Lindo to set up a special center for this purpose.

The center will be located in Jubail, an industrial city in the Saudi Eastern Province. Saudi Aramco will contribute six million tonnes of carbon annually to the project. Aramco CEO stated that the rest will be sourced from other industrial enterprises.
