The week opened with a conference and inspiring lectures by Pini Gershon and Omari Asnheim for the company’s managers and safety supervisors in the various divisions. At the conference, special emphasis was given to leadership that promotes a culture of safety.
Among the activities that will take place in the organization throughout the safety week: a dedicated driving simulator illustrating the danger of using a cell phone while driving, an overturned vehicle, first aid training and the use of basic resuscitation equipment, and actors trained in the subject of safety who will move between the railway premises and award prizes to employees who correctly answer a safety quiz prepared especially for them.
In preparation for the safety week, the company’s management invited the employees’ children to take an active part in the issue and participate in an illustration competition on the topic of safety. Each child drew safety from his point of view, with the ten selected drawings earning their creators an experiential meeting with the winner of the “Ninja Israel” program – Gil Marantz. At the meeting, Gil gave the children important tools and rules for maintaining safety in the sports industry and in general.
The children took pictures of the various facilities and then the pictures were combined into a safety collage with everyday situations of working on the train. The fascinating collages will be displayed throughout the week in all the company’s premises.
