Toma Suleiman responds to the president: “I am part of the Palestinian people, I am Palestinian”

by time news

During the meeting with Hadash-Ta’al representatives who came to the President’s residence last week to present their candidate for the government, President Yitzhak Herzog turned to Aida Toma Suleiman, and told her: “You had support for terrorists, that is something that is unacceptable. There is no beating For sin?”. Toma Suleiman replied that “it’s not a matter of ‘supporting’ the way you defined it. We disagree on the definitions.”

“The army entered Nablus and exterminated people”

This morning (Sunday), the Arab Knesset member expanded during an interview on 103FM: “I’ve been hearing for two months that I support terrorists. It’s time to stop repeating it like a mantra without checking anything. I didn’t do it. I used the word martyrs. I’m part of the Palestinian people, I am Palestinian, the army entered Nablus and exterminated people.”

Toma Suleiman went on to say that in her opinion the president was wrong when he made a comparison that she is not ready to accept: “It is very convenient to go in this direction and compare. There is Itamar Ben Gabir and there is Aida Toma Suleiman – this is not acceptable to me, I was not convicted, I did not support terrorist organizations, I I don’t pull out guns right and left. I think it’s time for you to learn Arabic, and for you to learn that I’m both Israeli and Palestinian, unfortunately life is much more complicated.”

“Nablus said goodbye to our martyrs today”

Let’s recall that a few weeks ago the member of the Knesset from Hadash Ta’al paid tribute to the terrorists from the ‘Lions Den’ who were killed in Nablus. “Nablus said goodbye to our martyrs today, our Palestinian people said goodbye to their martyrs,” Suleiman continued and wrote: “As the occupation increases its crimes, the resistance increased.”
