Sustainable tourism policies to be implemented for climate protection: Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia to implement sustainable tourism policies in the country with climate protection in mind. This was stated by the Minister of Saudi Tourism Department, Ahmad Bin Aqeel Al Khatib. He was speaking at the Saudi Green Initiative Forum held in conjunction with the COP27 (UN Climate Change Conference) climate summit in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

He participated in the debate on ‘Sustainable Tourism Protecting Nature’s Wealth’ held on the first day of the Saudi Green Initiative Forum. The discussion was about devising tourism development projects based on nature conservation in a way that does not harm the nature. He pointed out that the country is moving on the path of such projects.
