Riyadh | In order to strengthen the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, the two countries signed two important agreements on “Security Cooperation” and “Route to Makkah Service”.

The agreements were signed during the visit of Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood to Dhaka. The security agreement includes efforts to curb drug and human trafficking, as well as cybercrime and other transnational crimes.

Route to Makkah is an agreement where immigration can be completed in Dhaka before departure to the holy land for Hajj. Bangladesh is the first country to sign the Mecca Route Service Agreement this year, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
