NEW YORK: The biggest layoff in Amazon’s history is set to begin this week, according to reliable sources on condition of anonymity. The company is reportedly planning to lay off nearly 10,000 people from corporate and technical jobs.
Amazon is said to be able to feel the impact of the global economic crisis on the company by planning such layoffs during this holiday season when customers can buy more.
It is believed that Amazon has been forced to examine and cut down on its divisions, which are operating with a large number of employees and a limited supply of goods.
