The 16th season of the IPL series, which is the precursor to the global Premier League T20 series, will be held in India in March 2023. This year 10 teams including 2 new teams namely Gujarat and Lucknow participated, after 2018 all teams were disbanded and a 2 day mega player auction was held last February. Due to this, the BCCI has announced that the player auction for the 2023 season will be held on December 23 in Kochi, Kerala.
Before that, the BCCI had announced that the 10 teams can transfer certain players on contractual basis and the final list must be submitted by November 15. Following that, the respective team managements have released their final list ahead of the 2023 season auction. The management of Sunrisers Hyderabad cricket team has released New Zealand’s promising star Kane Williamson, who had appointed them as the captain of their team.

With the release of 12 more players, the Hyderabad team currently has the maximum number of 13 players vacant than any other team. Out of which the team can buy maximum 4 foreign players. To buy it, the team has a bigger bid reserve than their opponents at Rs 42.25 crores.
