Garmin has introduced the Bounce smart watch, an LTE-enabled accessory designed specifically for children.
The watch received a color touch screen, built-in games, a set of sensors for tracking physical activity, and the main feature of Bounce was the GPS and LTE module. It is stated that using the Garmin Jr. Parents can monitor their child’s whereabouts in real time, receiving automatic notifications if the owner of the watch crosses predetermined boundaries.
The device supports two-way text messaging (children can text parents directly from the watch without using a smartphone), and there is also a separate “School Mode” that will not allow children to be distracted by Bounce during class.
The Garmin Bounce kids’ watch, available in three colors, is now available. The cost of the accessory in the US will be $150.
