Bali: Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke harshly to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the G20 summit. The two heads of state met at the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia. Xi Jinping accused Justin Trudeau of leaking the information of this discussion to the media.
A video emerged of the Chinese supreme leader, who bumped into Trudeau during the summit, saying with the help of a translator that “all the information that was discussed was leaked to the press, which is not an appropriate course of action.” Trudeau responded to Xi Jinping’s concern by saying, “We believe in free and open dialogue.” This also angered the Chinese president. Xi Jinping responded to Trudeau’s comment that “we are prepared to work together despite our differences” and said, “Let’s try.” After the not-so-pleasant remarks, the two heads of state parted with a handshake.
In the discussion held by the two heads of state after three years, the information included the intelligence department’s report that there was external interference by China in the 2019 Canadian elections. Reuters reported that the Ukraine-Russia conflict and global climate issues were discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, Xi Jinping warned American President Joe Biden on the issue of Taiwan during the meeting during the G20 summit. The Chinese President warned not to violate the Line of Control, referring to America’s position on the Taiwan issue. The world is wide enough for two countries to compete and prosper at the same time, and Xi Jinping indirectly mentioned the rivalry between the United States and China.
