It has been reported that Jet Airways has decided to reduce the salaries of its employees by up to 50 percent.

Jet Airways, which was India’s leading airline, was declared bankrupt in 2019 due to huge losses. The company’s flight service was subsequently suspended. Following this, the Jalan-Kalrak Consortium has taken the Jet Airways company in the auction and is working on restructuring it. In this case, the company has taken many tough decisions as it has been able to get investments of only Rs.150 crore so far to re-run the Jet Airways company.

Jet Airways has reportedly put one-third of its employees on unpaid leave for three months from December 1, and is taking a pay cut of up to 50 percent for many more. This has caused a great shock among the employees of Jet Airways. Jet Airways CEO Sanjeev Kapoor has said that this is a temporary decision.
