(LaPresse) On the third day of the Artemis 1 mission, NASA’s Orion probe captured a splendid view of the Moon. The spacecraft, which departed on its debut flight atop the Space Launch System rocket on Wednesday, November 16, is expected to reach the Moon on Monday, November 21. If all goes well during the three-week mission, the crew capsule will be propelled into a large orbit around the satellite and will return to Earth in December with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean. The first launch of the Artemis program brought the United States one step closer to returning astronauts to the lunar surface for the first time since the end of the Apollo program more than 50 years ago.
