Doha: Ecuador beat Qatar 2-0 in the first match of the FIFA World Cup. The 22nd FIFA World Cup football series kicked off with spectacular performances at the Al Bait Stadium, 40 km from the Qatari capital Doha. In the first match, World Cup hosts Qatar and Ecuador clashed. In the 15th minute of the match, the Ecuadorian Valencia went down after reaching out to try and block Qatar goalkeeper Saad Al Shaband. Sheep was then given a yellow card and Valencia were awarded a penalty.
Valensie took advantage of the opportunity and scored. This goal came in the 15th minute of the game. Valency then scored the 2nd goal in the 31st minute of the game. The first half ended with Ecuador leading 2-0. Neither team scored in the 2nd half of the game. So Ecuador started this World Cup with a huge victory by defeating Qatar 2-0.
The host country of the FIFA World Cup will play in the first match. No team that has ever hosted a World Cup like that has ever lost the first match. It is noteworthy that the Qatar team, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup for the first time, lost the first match and recorded a historic defeat.
