Sensex down 500 points | Sensex falls over 500 points

Mumbai: The Mumbai Stock Exchange started trading on a lower note on Monday. The Sensex fell 500 points to 61,163. Meanwhile, the Nifty fell 124 points to close at 18,182.

As of 09:53 AM on Monday, the Sensex was down 504.57 points at 61,158.91. The NSE Nifty was down 151.15 points at 18,156.50.

Indian stock markets started trading lower today due to sluggish trend in global markets.

As far as individual stocks are concerned, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Steels were the gainers. At the other end are ICICI, HCL Technologies, M&M, Indus Bank, L&T, Sunpharma Industries, Powergrid Corporation, Titan Company, Asian Paints, Nestlé India, State Bank of India, Kodak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, Infaces, HDFC Bank, Dr Reddy’s. Labs shares fell.
