DECRYPTION – Crispr/Cas 9 technology paves the way for ultra-personalized treatments against several types of tumors.
The prospect of individualized cancer treatment is advancing rapidly. A study conducted at the University of California at Los Angeles (USA), published in the journal Nature November 10 reports the use of Crispr/Cas 9 technology to treat 16 patients suffering from various cancers (melanoma, colorectal, lung, breast, prostate or ovarian cancer, all in progression). If the results presented are modest, they prove the feasibility of the method on the scientific level.
