A few days ago, Splinter Cell celebrated its 20th anniversary. And Ubisoft took this opportunity to reveal never-before-seen concept art for the game, and fans had a uniformly positive reaction to the concept art.
Even a Twitter user by the name of mgeoff88 said, “I really like what I see. I hope Michael Ironside returns to voice Sam. Others have asked Ubisoft to bring back the popular multiplayer mode Spies vs Mercenaries with this new version. In short, people are happy.

A Splinter Cell version has been in development for a few years, and was even in the news a while ago when game director David Grievel left Ubisoft. He said he was leaving the company in search of new adventures.
The new Splinter Cell will not be an open world
Ubisoft has been known to have mostly only worked on open world titles, which has some fans worried that Splinter Cell might end up suffering because of the open world implementation.
But Ubisoft Montreal, the game’s developers have made it clear that unlike their other recent games, this remake will be a linear action-adventure title. This is great news for all Splinter Cell fans who expected the game to be just another Open World game in the Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, Far Cry and Watch Dogs series.

Along with the concept art, Ubisoft also made it clear to its fans that the game is still in its early stages of development, but that they are aiming for it to be an excellent experience for fans. The concept art of the game looks really good and is completely faithful to the original game.
For those who don’t know, this is one of the first successful series that Ubisoft has worked on. This series of Stealth Action games was made for hardcore stealth action fans. The latest installment in the Splinter Cell Blacklist series has received positive reviews thanks to its dynamic gameplay.
