Head of Amman, Aharon Haliva: “At this time, it is not right to reach a direct confrontation with Iran”

“The Iranians are advancing the nuclear program without arousing the international community. We are four and a half years after the withdrawal of the US from the nuclear agreement and the world is not doing anything about the Iranian violations”, said the head of the Security Council Major General Aharon Haliva at the INSS conference held yesterday (B) in Tel Aviv.

“The biggest test of the international community will be when Iran starts enriching to 90 percent, even if in a tiny amount. This is enrichment using advanced centrifuges. Then it will be clear that we are talking about many months or a few years before breaking into the nucleus.”

In a conversation at the INSS conference with his predecessor, General Mil. Tamir Hyman, General Haliva said that the Iranians are considering disrupting the World Cup games, but are afraid of the Qatari reaction. According to him, the protests in Iran have shifted to the lines of civil unrest. However, the head of AMN does not see a danger to the regime at this time due to the protests.

The head of AMN also claims: the hack to the nuclear can, at this time, threaten the survival of the regime in Tehran. If they decide to destroy the Iranian nuclear project in a kinetic way – the USA should be on our side.

“Iran is under pressure, said the head of the UN, and this is accompanied by aggressive reactions. I think this trend will continue and the reason is the difficult economic situation and the hijab protests, which have turned into civil unrest,” Haliva concludes.
