The parents of the students of the Early Childhood Education course at the ‘Isabel La Católica’ Public School, in La Línea, have decided to return to the charge to find solutions to the problem that their children have been suffering from.
Before 2:00 p.m., when the children leave the building where they attend class on their way to the other building where they receive the dining room service, the parents – protected by the AMPA – will once again demonstrate and protest against the decision of the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía not to offer a solution to the request of those affected, to build a second dining room.
The children, whose ages range from 3 to 5 years, are forced to cross a street to go to the school cafeteria, for which the teachers use a rope to which the children tie themselves, in order to find some security. To this is added, that last week the children ran into the rains that fell in the area and without the coverage of Local Police agents, as pointed out by Patria Conejero, one of the affected mothers.
Last week, the director of the center held a meeting with those responsible for the territorial Health delegation, since it is the Board that prevents the use of the center’s dining room but, for the moment, there has been no news in this regard, so the Children must continue to go to a different building than the one they go to receive their classes. Faced with this situation, the Association of Parents of Students does not rule out resorting to the Andalusian Ombudsman.
