Director TS Saji shares his experiences with Mammootty. Saji said that even though Mammootty came to the set, they did not come, he came earlier and waited for a while and slept in the unit car and later gave them the job. Saji said this in an interview with Master Bin.

When I was assistant director, he came and asked me if he could drop me off at 7 o’clock. He didn’t say he would go. I only asked if I could leave. There was a location shift that day. I told that to Mammooka. Mammooka said that if he comes early, he can finish it.
We went to the lodge between shifts and came back after taking a shower. When it came, there was no Mammooka. One person says that he said that when he asked if the person who said he had to leave at seven o’clock had not arrived. Mammooka said that you are sleeping in the unit car as you did not come. We were embarrassed.
Then I told someone and brought some tea and water to wash my face and called Mammooka. Mammooka said where were you, it has been an hour since I came. We talked about it. To be honest, we were given a job. So Mammooka is a person who does not cause any problem on location,’ said TS Saji.
Meanwhile, the shooting of Kathal, directed by Jio Baby and featuring Mammootty and Jyothika in the lead roles, has been completed.
Mammootty and Jyothika’s parts in the film had already been completed. Mammootty’s parts were done first. Mammootty celebrated the last day of the film’s shoot by serving biryani with Jyothika.
The name of the character played by Mammootty in the film is Mathew Devasi. In the film, this character is contesting as a left-wing independent candidate in the panchayat elections. The film was officially announced on October 18, Jyothika’s birthday.
