mBasil Joseph is one of the leading young directors of Layala cinema. Basil, who became a popular director with several films, also shined on the silver screen as an actor. Basil managed to gain attention all over India by directing the first Malayalam superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’. Basil has now won JCI India’s Outstanding Young Person Award.
Basil Joseph has won the award which has been won by many world famous people like Amitabh Bachchan, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, PT Usha etc. This award is JCI India’s recognition of a young artist who has made a mark in the wider world of Indian cinema as an actor and director and gained global attention within a short span of time. The award will be presented to the actor in the presence of other dignitaries at the inaugural NATCON on December 27.
Meanwhile, ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hai’ is Basil Joseph’s last released film. Darshan Rajendran played the female lead in the film directed by Vipin Das. ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jay Hai’, which came as a children’s film, has now become a huge hit. So far the film has collected Rs 40 crores at the box office. Aju Varghese, Aziz Nedumangad, Sudhir Paravoor, Manju Pillai, Sarath Sabha and Harish Pengan played other characters in ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hai’.
