Malappuram Vengara Girls School teacher’s colleague arrested in case of suicide. Ramdas, a native of Paioli, Kozhikode, was arrested on the charge of inciting suicide. The police found that the two were close and the relationship problems led to the suicide. The arrest was made two months after the incident.
Baiju T, a teacher of Vengara Girls Higher Secondary School, committed suicide two months ago. He had hanged himself in the bedroom of his house in Kannamangalam. Ramdas, a native of Perampra, who is a teacher of the same school, was arrested during the investigation conducted by Vengara police who registered a case of unnatural death.

Ramdas was arrested on the charge of inciting suicide on the basis of examination of the teacher’s diaries and phone records. The police said that the two were close and the teacher used to put her under constant pressure by talking to other teachers and so on. The police also found that he had insulted her by calling her on the phone. He was then called to the station for questioning and arrested. The arrested Ramdas is the SPC in-charge of the school. The SPC of the primary section was in charge of the teacher who committed suicide.
Her husband, an excise officer, was also arrested in a case where a young woman committed suicide in Chemmankadu, Malappuram. Alex Aloysius, a native of Kollam Chavara, was arrested. The police found that the wife committed suicide due to her husband’s harassment.
