Rasipuram: In Rasipuram town of Namakkal district, there is a trader who is making new type of idli and supplying it to restaurants at wholesale price.
Gopal (42) produces idli in Rasipuram and sells it to shops in the city at wholesale prices. He has been making idli in Rasipuram Old Bus Stand area and now he has introduced Kollu Idli in the city.
He said that he has introduced this Kolu Idli sugar because it is good for people with high blood pressure and now it has been well received by the people.
While the normal Idli is normally supplied to the shops at Rs.5 per piece, Kollu Idli sells at a wholesale price of Rs.8.
And in the situation where people are generally giving more importance to health, Gopal also mentioned that they will introduce new types of idli like carrot idli, young water idli, wheat idli, ragi idli and kambu idli. As an example that innovation is welcome in anything, Kollu Idli prepared by him has been well received by the people.
