Coimbatore: On behalf of Social Welfare and Women’s Rights Department, Women’s Project, an awareness march to eliminate violence against women took place from Coimbatore Collector’s Office to YWCA yesterday. College students, Anganwadi workers, Women Program Officers participated.

Collector Sameeran said:

The day is observed with the aim of protecting women from all forms of violence and discrimination, protecting women from socio-economic inequalities and implementing the full implementation of government programs for women.
