A couple in South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province hid their dead child’s body in a plastic container for three years.
In South Korea, health screenings for newborns and basic screening for children’s school enrollment are seen as very important. It was during such investigation that this shocking incident came to light. Subsequently, the police officers interrogated the couple.
Talking to the media about the incident, the police officials said, “First the child’s mother reported that the child was lost. Later, when the investigation intensified, the woman confessed that she hid the baby’s body along with her husband.
They hid the body of their dead child in a plastic container measuring 35 cm long, 24 cm wide and 17 cm high. We have seized the dead child’s body and sent it for post-mortem. But why did they hide the child? “We are arresting the couple and interrogating them from the point of view that they might have killed the child and kept it hidden,” they said.
