The father of a Givat soldier who was suspended after attacking left-wing activists: “My son is a hero”

Two fighters and commanders were suspended from activity yesterday after the incident of attacking left-wing activists in Hebron. The father of a Givat soldier, who was suspended after attacking one of the activists, commented today (Sunday) on the suspension of the fighters and commanders and said that he supports them: “My son is a hero soldier. The feeling of the soldiers is hard. Instead of dealing with the enemy, they have to deal with Jews who come to hinder them in their mission.”

The father posted a video in which his face is blurred and only his voice is heard, and he explained what was behind the attack: “Kifak to Givati. We support all our soldiers who stand guard over our land, love the people of Israel and the State of Israel. The soldiers who were heroes there, we have been accompanying them for six months in Hebron , we see their efforts to protect the people of Israel so that we can sleep peacefully.”

“Unfortunately, they were approached by all kinds of anarchists who came to disturb them during their holy work of protecting the citizens from being harmed,” he continued. “They came to disturb them and harassed them, spat on them, cursed at them, photographed them, forced them to say political statements. You don’t see that in the videos because you see half-cut videos.”

In conclusion, he said, “It’s a difficult feeling for soldiers who have to deal with Jews during their work. It’s a shame that the people of Israel have to deal with such small things when we are dealing with a great enemy.”

As you may recall, on Friday the activists arrived in the city for a “solidarity visit”, as they defined it, with Palestinian families, after the violence that occurred there last week on Shabbat “Sarah’s Life”.

In one of the documents, soldiers are seen beating an activist, while he is lying on the floor. In the second recording, a soldier can be seen shouting at one of the activists: “Ben Gvir will make order here, the house is over.”
